"HENRI BENDEL"

…as I previously mentioned, this place feels like a candy store…except most items are inedible (except for their very trendy chocolate bars), but very fashionable nonetheless.  We went there in search for my wedding jewelry.  I really, really wish I could buy everything, but that would be a tad unreasonable…just a tad though…

I really wish I could photograph the actual store, but they don’t really allow photography so this is the best we got…

E discreetly snapped this on his iPhone while I distracted the salesperson with my enthusiastic questions about all of their beautiful products.  Oh where do I begin?

I totally love this compact.  I heart me, too!

And how fabulous would it be if your bubbly bottle stopper matches your ring?

Love these bamboo rings…

And there super adorable doggie carrier…I don’t even have a dog, and I totally want one!

And check out all these gorgeous bracelets below…I cannot have enough of these.

I also love how they show you on their website on how to stack them…I need to bite that idea and start stacking my bracelets, too.

And these below are no longer in store, but I just had to show them to you.  I saw this set of earrings on Style Me Pretty photgraphed by Chrisitian Oath, and I was in love.

Then I found these matching necklace while browsing the web.  They are both from Anton Heunis for Henri Bendel.  I wish they still have them…

Admittedly, even though I love their products, their concierge service sucks!  I just have to warn you.  I emailed them inquiring about getting these Anton Heunis earrings and necklace, and they never got back to me even though the website clearly states that they will respond within 24-48 hours.  It’s been weeks.  So if anyone who works for Bendel happens to be reading this, don’t advertise on your website telling your customers to contact your concierge if they cannot find something when you don’t plan to respond to the email.  Lame-o.

Anyways – with all the negativity aside, who knew chocolate and white stripes can be so fabulous? (except for their concierge service…I’m still mad about that)

"GUNMETAL"

…my new favorite metal.  It’s not silver, it’s not gold.  It’s not too proper, but it’s not childish.  It’s a perfect balance of edgy, cool, rock n’ roll and urban sophistication…and I just can’t have enough it.

As far as gunmetal goes, no one does it better than Fenton Fallon.  Check these out…

But it’s not always about Fallon, Kenneth Jay Lane has this great gunmetal link bracelet and rings

And this one is from Rachele Leigh

Alexis Bittar bracelet

Eddie Borgo Gunmetal Cone Bracelet

Or about how about this Chanel gunmetal cross necklace?  A contrast of lady-like Chanel in a bad girl kinda way…

Alice + Olivia also has a great gunmetal necklace done by Erickson Beamon

But gunmetal is not limited to just jewelry.  Check out these awesome hue shoes…

Flats by Lanvin

And Gucci Gunmetal Chain Link Sandals

These two sneakers are both Converse by John Varvatos.  So bad-ass, don’t they?  If I were a boy…I would wear them.

Balenciaga also have this very gunmetal leather called “Anthracite.”  Totally fabulous.

Gucci also makes one, but it’s not exactly my favorite…

This one is by Stephan Verdino at Saks Fifth Avenue

Chanel…enough said

And the best thing about gunmetal is that it’s meant to look a little dirty so no need to care for anything gunmetal as much.  Fabulous and requires very little maintenance, that’s my kind of metal.

“LOUIS VUITTON iPAD CASE”

…this is definitely getting filed under “things I don’t need but would be fabulous to have.”  I really don’t get the iPad.  Despite the overwhelming number in its sale, it is what it is – a giant iPod Touch.  E is dying to get one and has been whining about it long before it hit the store.  I told him if he could give me 3 good reasons justifying why he needs one, he can buy one…and he can’t come up with any.  I have my MacBook, and it’s just slightly bigger than the iPad, not to mention it could do so much more…so I just can’t see why I would need it.  If I want apps or touch screen, I have my iPhone.  I’m just not convinced yet.

Anyways, E saw these cases on the blog that he reads pretty religiously and forwarded the post to me.  I looked into and found out that it was originally posted on Luxist.  Although I don’t see the need for the iPad,  I may just let him get one so I could get one of these lol.  I totally heart outrageous things…and this is definitely one of them.

“FREE WEDDING GOODIES”

…I was just going about my routine nightly blog browsing business when I stumbled upon this post on the Bride’s Cafe blog.  The Wedding Chick blog is featuring Free Wedding Goodies!  This is totally awesome.  I’m going crazy customizing everything for my own wedding.  After customization, you can then email them to yourself.  Ah-maz-ing.  You’ll be seeing a bunch of these cutesiness (that’s not a real word according to Merriam-Webster, but you know what I mean) at my wedding.  Yay~

Umm hello?  What are you waiting for?  Go, go, go.  Run along and make yourself something cute now.
